Sneak peek into Ovation In Gabriel’s Hill, Maidstone, as it opens in former Strawberry Moons building

It’s been almost a year since the doors mysteriously closed at Madisons, but today they will reopen under a new name.

The building, which also housed Strawberry Moons in Maidstone for 25 years before closing in 2017, in Gabriel’s Hill will officially reopen tonight as Ovation.

The venue will have four areas for customers to enjoy music, drinks and entertainment.

There is a staging area downstairs to watch live acts with two rooms upstairs which will be used as a nightclub and rooftop bar.

Epic Bars and Clubs invited KentOnline to have a sneak peek ahead of opening night.

Site Director Carla Devlin said: “It’s a one-stop shop which we think will have something for everyone.

“Whether you want to book one of our packages in the show bar or continue upstairs, there are plenty of options.

“We’ve tried to cater for the town but we also wanted to create this feel-good factor, an ultimate night out where you have everything you want.”

“Every night will be different so you don’t know what to expect.

“If you imagine all your guilty pleasures, like at a funfair, so lots of steins and dancing on the tables; it’ll be a lot of fun.”

As you enter you have the choice of going upstairs to the ‘cocktail terrace’ or into the showroom on the ground floor.

The showroom has a stage at one end with red velvet curtains draped around it. Long wooden tables are set up in the main space.

These tables will allow audiences to get on their feet and dance on the chairs as the acts entertain them during the night.

On the left is a bar stretching from wall to wall and on the right are separate tables for people to sit in smaller groups and enjoy the show without needing to be part of the main crowd.

Above the main seating area is a large decorative picture of a woman playing cards.

Padded cushions and chairs around the outside complete the look which Carla says is like “Moulin Rouge meets Greatest Showman”.

Finally at the back is a secular table area which would be ringed off as a VIP area.

Moving upstairs, the first room you come to is the Vault.

Giving off a strobing yet rustic feel, this room is to be devoted to RnB, House, and classic dance music with different DJs each weekend.

Then moving to the top floor you can either continue up the main staircase to the second nightclub room called Disco Disco or take a second staircase through the vault to get to the outside rooftop bar Botanics.

The area is an open space with cherry blossoms hanging from the rafters.

It’s a place to get away from the music and the lights and just enjoy a conversation while taking snaps for social media with your friends.

Disco Disco is for your cheesy hits and is decorated with a chequered dancefloor that can light up in an array of patterns and colours and the walls are covered in mirrors to give it a larger feel.
