A mobility scooter was abandoned in Maidstone after its battery ran out.

Now police are appealing for the scooter's owner to come forward or it will be sold at auction and proceeds given to charity.

The red scooter, in good working order, was discovered outside a property in Tonbridge Road on Thursday, June 17.

PC Helen Bateman, who found the scooter, said: “The vehicle appears to have run out of battery so it may have been left there by the owner who couldn’t make it home.

"The Rally scooter is in good condition, has dark red paintwork with a light grey seat. If anyone is missing the vehicle or has an elderly relation to whom they think it belongs I would urge them to get in contact with us on 01622 604361.”
