Last chance to enter Big Quiz

Don't miss your last chance to enter the Kent Messenger’s Big Quiz.
The bumper night of general knowledge and fun will be held at Maidstone Leisure Centre from 7pm on Friday, June 12.
There are still tickets available but they must now be ordered online at www.kmbigquiz.co.uk
Tickets cost £60 for a team of eight and proceeds will be split between four charities: Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Heart of Kent Hospice, the Kent and Medway Walking Bus Group and the Mayor of Maidstone’s Charity Appeal.
The ticket price includes a ploughman’s meal and a glass of wine, provided by Sainsbury’s in Maidstone.
To beat last year’s records more than 61 teams must take part. Last year’s event raised £5,400 for good causes.
The raffle will be run by Maidstone Rotary, with a top prize of a year’s supply of John Smith’s beer. Sponsors also include Maidstone Leisure Centre, P&O Ferries, Fremlin Walk, Sainsbury’s, Day Smith Hunter chartered accountants and Oddfellows Social Club.
And another prize has been put up for grabs by The Reef salon and spa in Gabriel’s Hill, Maidstone.
The salon – which offers massages, facials, body wraps, waxing and Fake Bake spray tanning – will give its “footprints in the sand” package, worth £128, to the quiz winners.
The package includes The Reef’s Signature Scrub me Smooth and Nourish, a Hot Stones Back Massage and an Elemis Taster Facial OR Indian Head Massage and a Leighton Denny Pristine Pedicure. The day also includes lunch.
Clare Cockell, salon manager said: “All in all this is a really luxurious, relaxing top to toe spa day. The Hot Stones massage is a heavenly treatment.”
The quiz has six rounds of 10 questions, but the themes are a secret until the night.
Special shields are on offer to the best quiz teams who work in local government and the health service.
