It is understood that no one was seriously injured.

A qualified first aider, who was caught up in traffic behind the collision, rushed to the scene.

He said: "I was about eight cars back and saw smoke. I got my high vis out and went to see if I could help. The driver of the yellow car managed to get out and was walking around.

"It is amazing, and a testament to that little car that she wasn't badly hurt.
