Manager Fin Davis admits "it’s all or nothing" for Maidstone Rugby Club as they prepare to face Wells in the RFU Vase national semi-final.

Maidstone entertain the Tribute Somerset Premier League promotion hopefuls at The Mote on Saturday, with the winners earning a Twickenham final on May 5.

A crowd of around 500 is expected and Davis says the squad are determined not to let the chance of a big day at the home of rugby slip through their grasp.

Davis, who has played at Twickenham himself as part of a company day, said: "The mood at training on Tuesday was good and this week we’ve tried to keep things as normal as possible for the players.

"The pressure is there already because it’s a big game and a big occasion so we didn’t want to add to that.

"I’m sure there will be a few nerves, myself included, but we’re all very excited because this is the game where it’s all or nothing.

"If we win on Saturday we go to Twickenham, but if we don’t it feels as if we’ve come a long way and come away with nothing."

Maidstone warmed up for the Vase clash with a 16-10 win at Horsham in London 3 South East last weekend.

Unavailable centre Neil Graves is the most notable absentee for Saturday’s semi-final, while fellow three-quarter Ollie Rogers also misses the game.
