Jay Saunders wants to keep the FA Cup prizemoney rolling in to thank Maidstone’s owners for their investment.

There’s £4,500 on offer for the winners of United’s second qualifying round tie at Grays on Saturday.

And with Stones co-owners Terry Casey and Oliver Ash bankrolling the £2.6million Gallagher Stadium as well as giving Saunders a budget to win promotion, the manager is keen to give something back.

"The last couple of rounds have brought in about £5,000 and there’s another £4,500 stake on Saturday," said Saunders (pictured).

"It all helps and after all the money Terry and Oliver have put in, anything we can put back into the club is great."

Centre-half Graeme Andrews is a doubt after suffering a hamstring injury in the 4-3 FA Trophy win at Needham Market on Saturday.

Saunders is hoping Andrews will be fit or he may have to take a chance on Ward, who’s been out with a hamstring problem of his own.

Opponents Grays sit second in Ryman League, Division 1 North and are likely to provide a tough test for the Stones.

"Wardy’s watched Grays and Chatham only played them a few weeks ago so I’ve spoken to Kevin Watson (Chats boss) about them," added Saunders. "They’re going well and it won’t be easy but if we go there with the right attitude, we have every chance."
