Maidstone United’s FA Trophy first round clash with Blue Square Premier side Histon on Tuesday night has been postponed for the second time.

The original clash at the Stones’ temporary home at Homelands was called off on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch and, with temperature expected to drop bellow freezing ahead of kick-off, the referee deemed the pitch would become unsafe during a 1pm inspection.

The game is now scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 22.

The postponement is a further financial blow for the Stones who have only played four home games since September.
