Man charged after cocaine and £10k cash seized in Yalding

A man has been charged after police seized a kilogram of what they believe is cocaine and £10,000 in cash.

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate searched addresses in Maidstone, Yalding and West Malling on Thursday and Friday. A kilogram of a substance believed to be cocaine was seized, along with three kilos of suspected cutting agents and the money.

Joshua Hall, 24, of Hampstead Lane, Yalding, was arrested and subsequently charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.

The case will next be heard at Maidstone Crown Court on May 11.

Two other men, aged 43 and 32 and from the Maidstone area, were also arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug.

They have been released pending further investigation.
