It is alleged that at around 1.10pm a man had been seen inappropriately using a mobile phone and was believed to be committing upskirting offences.

A woman, who wants to remain anonymous, was shopping with her young son when the incident happened.

“I thought it was weird he was getting so close as there was so much space around me for him to walk around,” she previously told KentOnline.

“I turned round to look at him as I found it odd and I noticed that on his right hand foot he had a phone tied to his trainer with the camera pointing upwards.”

Police say the suspect was challenged by witnesses and then left the store.
