Gyratory works in Maidstone: Traffic lights fail

The Maidstone Gyratory is set to cause yet more chaos after the traffic lights at the junction before the bridge system failed this afternoon.

Engineers are currently working to restore the signals at Fairmeadow, with motorists warned to expect delays.

The gyratory works are a £5.7million project to ease congestion around the town centre.
