Pop star Plan B is to appear at Bedgebury Forest next summer.

The show on Friday, June 22, is part of a nationwide tour of Forestry Commission sites.

The singer/songwriter, whose real name is Ben Drew, said: "It’s going to be a real adventure taking the Plan B show into the woods.

"I’m really up for this and hope to see you there."

Plan B’s appearance is a major coup for Bedgebury.

The 28-year-old came to prominence in 2006 with the critically acclaimed hip hop album, Who Needs Actions When You Got Words.

His next project, the 2010 soul-influenced, The Defamation of Strickland Banks, became the fifth biggest seller of the year.

It picked up a trio of Ivor Novello awards for hit singles, such as Stay Too Long, Prayin’ and She Said.

He has also turned his talents to acting and is due to appear in a film remake of The Sweeney starring Ray Winstone.

Tickets priced £32 go on sale from 9am this Friday.

Call the box office on 03000 680400 or buy online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music.
