Police want to hear from the driver of a grey Audi in connection with a crash on the M20

Police investigating a crash in which a motorcyclist was seriously injured are appealing for information.

The accident happened on Monday at around 4.45pm on the London bound carriageway of the M20 at Junction 8 (Leeds).

The carriageway was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and the air ambulance landed and took off. All three lanes of the carriageway were reopened shortly before 6pm.

The injured man who is 65 and from Surrey, was flown to Kings College Hospital in London with injuries described as serious. He was discharged from hospital the next day.

Officers are particularly keen to trace the driver of what has been described as a grey Audi Estate as they might have information that could help police with their investigation.

PC Matt Burch, of the Kent Police Roads Policing Unit, said: 'I'd urge anyone who saw the motorcycle before the incident or who witnessed the collision to contact police.'

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact PC Matt Burch by calling 01622 798538 and quoting reference 16-1142.
