Police at Maidstone West railway station

Police were called to Maidstone West railway station after concerns were raised for a woman's welfare.

Kent Police and British Transport Police (BTP) went to the site, in Station Approach, shortly before 1.30pm.

A BTP spokesman said officers helped escort the lady from the station, to a place of safety.

No arrests were made.

South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended.
