Police helicopter helps to find suspected drink driver after car crashes in Brishing Lane Maidstone

A helicopter was used to help find and arrest a suspected drink driver after a car was reported to have crashed in a country lane.

On Sunday at around 10.40pm police were made aware of a crash involving a car in Brishing Lane, Maidstone.

Officers and paramedics attended but found the driver had left before they got there.

A police helicopter was deployed and helped find and arrest a man on suspicion of being unfit to drive through alcohol or drugs.

The man, aged in his 20s and from Maidstone, was bailed to return to the police station on April 3.
