A police cordon has been put up in a town centre after reports of an assault.
Officers were called to Scott Street in Maidstone at 11.23pm to a disturbance.
The victim was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.
A 33-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
The cordon was put up on the road at the junction with Perryfield Street while police carried out their inquiries.
