Police seize a quad bike causing problems

A quad bike causing a nuisance in Maidstone has been seized by police.

Officers received reports that the black bike was being driven dangerously and in an anti-social manner in the Reculver Walk area on Saturday.

PCSOs David Earl and Matthew Williams seized the vehicle and a 17-year-old boy was reported for driving offences including driving without a licence, and driving without insurance. The owner was also identified, and issued with a warning around anti-social use of the quad bike.

Neighbourhood Inspector Maxine Martin said: "We have had a number of reports of quad bikes being driven anti-socially in the area, and it was a great piece of work by my local PCSOs to catch the rider in the act and with the help of an officer, seize the quad bike.

"As we have shown in this case, we have the power to seize bikes that are being driven carelessly or inconsiderately and will not hesitate to do so."
