A TOP-of-the-range Scalextric set has been donated by Hornby for the Maidstone Big Quiz. It will be one of the top quality prizes on offer at the event on Friday, June 10 at Kent Event Centre (Kent Showground), Detling. Other items on offer in the draw include a £50 Clarins voucher and mini pamper set from House of Fraser at Fremlin Walk and a work bench and set of chrome dumbbell weights donated by Select Fitness in Aylesford.

Paul McGrath from the toy department at Canterbury Fenwick, said Hornby was delighted to support the KM Big Quiz because the charities selected were all important community causes.

Charities that will benefit from the quiz are Maidstone Christian Care, The Heart of Kent Hospice, the Mayor of Maidstone’s charities and the children’s road safety department of the KM Charity Team.

A table for eight people is £60, which is £7.50 per person and includes a ploughman’s meal and a complimentary glass of wine in the price. To book a table go to www.kmbigquiz.co.uk

Sponsors of the event are Kent Event Centre, Shepherd Neame, Barclays, Day, Smith & Hunter (DSH) chartered accountants and business advisors, Independent Music Productions, Maidstone Scaffolding, P&O Ferries and The Heart of Kent Hospice.
