Tonbridge boss Tommy Warrilow says he’s delighted that midfielder Chris Piper is staying.

He is the club’s fourth new signing in the last fortnight, and Warrilow, writing in the programme for Tuesday’s Championship Manager Cup second round tie against Ramsgate, said: "Chris has settled in, and enjoying his football. His phone did not stop ringing from clubs wanting his services.

"All he wants to do is get his head down with us and get his season off and running.

"Now he can do that and just concentrate on playing football."

Two impressive strikes by Rory Hill helped Tonbridge win 2-0, their fifth win in six games.

They are at home to Concord in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy tomorrow (Saturday).
