A woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries after she was freed from a wrecked car.

The casualty suffered minor injuries in yesterday's crash but was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital, in Pembury, as a precaution by South East Coast Ambulance.

She was involved in a two-vehicle collision in South Bank, Staplehurst, near the junction with Church Green, at about 2.40pm.

Fire crews had to remove the roof from one the cars to safely free the woman. The road was cleared by 5.10pm.
