Errors prove costly for Stones

Two mistakes cost Maidstone the chance of recording their first London 2 win of the season losing at Tunbridge Wells.

Maidstone started well and were seven points up after only five minutes, Gareth Hill making and scoring the try, with Piers Francis converting. Wells then reduced the deficit to 7-5 with their first try of the game, before Francis' penalty made it 10-5.

Maidstone then let things slip, the two errors gifting Wells 22-10 lead at half-time.

Mark Ryan added Maidstone's second try, again converted by Francis, and he then added another penalty to close the gap to only two points,

Hoewever another defenive lapse saw Wells go over for a late try, and leave Maidstone still looking for their first win of the season.
