Woman cut free after crash in Leybourne

A woman had to be cut free from the wreckage of her vehicle after an early-morning crash today.

The incident occurred at 3.21am on the A228 Castle Way in Leybourne.

Two fire engines attended and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle to free the driver who was then taken to hospital by ambulance.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident and there were no other other casualties.
