Schoolgirl describes meeting in alley in Snodland 'naturist' Robert Jenner accused of indecent exposure

A 15-year-old schoolgirl told a jury today of the moment she came face to face with a self-styled "naturist" accused of indecent exposure.

The teenager gave her evidence by a video link to the trial at Canterbury Crown Court where Robert Jenner is on trial.

She told how in February last year she was walking to a hairdressing appointment in High Street, Snodland.

"I was wearing my school uniform and I was 14 years old at the time. It was spitting with rain but it was daytime.

"I went towards an alleyway, which is about five metes long. The first bit where I saw the man there was only room for one person to walk passed.

"I could see a man walking through the alleyway towards me. I waited there.

"He was six foot, with blackish-brownish shortish hair. He was wearing blue jeans. He was in his 40s."

She said he was carrying two plastic bags and was swinging them as he walked.

"I looked away and walked away. He didn't speak and nor did I..." -

"I looked to see who it was. He had his penis out of his trousers.

"It was coming out through a hole.

"I looked away and walked away. He didn't speak and nor did I."

Prosecutor Daniel Stevenson asked if she then continued her journey to the hairdressers.

"I had my hair done then I told my mother about what I had seen and texted a friend . I felt uncomfortable."

She added that a friend had warned her about a man who was often seen naked at his home or in his van.

Jenner, 43, of Bingley Close, Snodland, denies 11 offences of indecently exposing himself.

The trial continues.
