Aylesford: Mills Road partially blocked after crash

A man died after his vehicle crashed outside a Sainsbury's car park in Aylesford this morning.

The crash happened in Mills Road at 11.39am and no other vehicles were involved. It's thought the driver collapsed at the wheel before the crash.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance attended. The driver, understood to be from East Farleigh was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been made aware.

Mills Road, which links the store with the A20 London Road, was partially blocked near the roundabout between Lake Road and Hall Road, but is now open to traffic.

Hermitage Lane resident Andy Good said: "I saw the air ambulance land over the road from me and I heard lots of sirens.

"A large white tent had been put up so I couldn't see what had happened."

Drivers are being warned to expect continued delays.
