M20: Crash between junction 2 for Wrotham and 1 for the Dartford Crossing

Traffic was stopped on the M20 after a crash near Wrotham.

Police and paramedics are currently on the scene of the accident between junctions 1 for the Dartford Crossing and 2 for Wrotham.

Motorists were stopped on the coast bound carriageway but Highways England has since confirmed two lanes have been reopened.

The closure is expected to last until 3pm, with road conditions predicted to return to normal soon after.

Police are the scene with paramedics and the fire service.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 12.58pm on Sunday 6 November 2016 to a report of a collision involving two cars between Junctions 1 and 2 of the M20."
