Air rifles stolen from caravan in Strood

Two air rifles have been stolen from a caravan in Strood.

The guns were taken from the mobile home in Cuxton Road on Tuesday.

A man who owns a property in the road was temporarily living in the caravan next to his house.

The burglars broke into the caravan through a door and also stole a TV.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses.

DS Adam Marshall said: "The rifles that were taken can be extremely dangerous if they are not handled correctly and I would urge whoever has taken them to hand them into police immediately.

"If anyone was in the area and saw any people acting suspiciously then we would also like to hear from them."

Anyone with any information is asked to phone 01634 792687 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
