Alan Whippy takes to the stage as Scrooge at Medway's Little Theatre

A familiar face from the Dickensian Christmas Festival will be taking to the stage this week.

Alan Whippy will be playing the leading role in a reading of A Christmas Carol at the Medway Little Theatre, a character he plays every year at the festivities in Rochester High Street.

The reading is part of the theatre’s seasonal celebrations, taking place on Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19 from 7.30pm.

The entertainment will also include carols and seasonal music by Musica Cantiana. Mince pies and mulled wine will be served during the interval by suitably clad Victorian wenches.

The Medway Little Theatre is in Rochester High Street, opposite the train station.
