Police who were concerned for the welfare of a vulnerable 88-year-old woman from Hempstead have announced she has been found.

Erika Lewis was reported missing at 9.20pm on Saturday January 10 from her address in Blowers Wood Grove, Hempstead.

Officers believed she could have been driving a silver VW Polo with the registration number GL54 ELU. The vehicle was last seen heading towards London via the A2.

They revealed this evening that she had been found safe.
