Man arrested on suspicion of drug offences after police called to Castle Road, Chatham, to reports of 'suspicious activity'

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of drug offences after officers were called to a house in Chatham.

Officers visited the property in Castle Road at 8.25am this morning after reports of suspicious activity.

A witness, who did not wish to be named, said he saw a number of police officers in the usually quiet street this morning, before a person was led out of a house in handcuffs.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug offences and has been bailed until Thursday, December 1, pending further inquiries.
