Boxing clever for needy

PUPILS have been remembering the needy as Christmas approaches.

Students at Fort Pitt Grammar School in Chatham have been filling dozens of colourful boxes with a variety of goodies to send to poor families in Eastern Europe.

Head of year Josette Foord said pupils from years seven and eight had simply wanted to share luxuries with needy people from abroad. "Some went out and bought little things such as hair accessories, while others got their mums and dads involved and made boxes to send to families."
