Police and ambulances deal with emergency in Toronto Road near Priestfield Stadium in Gillingham

Emergency services are dealing with an incident near The Gills stadium after concerns were raised about the welfare of a man.

The spot is close to Priestfield Stadium, home of Gillingham FC.

A police spokesperson said: ”Kent Police was called at 3.57pm on Thursday, January 11 to a report of a concern for the welfare of a man in Toronto Road, Gillingham.

“Officers are at the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service.”

A spokesperson for the fire service added: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 4.03pm today to assist SECAmb in Toronto Road, Gillingham.

“One fire engine attended.”

The South East Coast Ambulance Service has been contacted for more information.
