Firefighters called to dustcart fire in Barrier Road, Chatham

Firefighters tackled a blaze in a dustcart in Chatham this morning.

A crew were called to Barrier Road at 9.39am after rubbish inside the dustcart caught fire.

Firefighters helped remove as much of the rubbish as possible, from the back of the five tonne cart, before using a probe to make sure there were no hot-spots left.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
