Hunt on for DIY fraudster

A man being hunted for defrauding 37 stores in a DIY chain is thought to have hit its Dartford branch.

The man takes items from the shelves in Wickes stores then goes to the till to claim refunds.

He is believed to have got more than £9,000 in cash with his method.
Stores as far away as Hampshire, the West and East Midlands and Wiltshire, and Essex have been hit since last August.

He is thought to have hit the Dartford branch on November 24.

He is described as white, between 5ft 8in and 5ft10in, in his late 40s with black or grey facial stubble. He looks unclean and has black teeth. Some are missing.

He has worn a green farmer's cap with grey hair showing at the side. He has wears a grey scarf, green duffle-style coat and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 713 of 13/1 CORR or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
