Police investigating burglary at nature reserve in Cooling, near Rochester

A pressure washer and a chainsaw are among the items reportedly stolen from a nature reserve near Rochester.

Police are appealing for information after an outbuilding at the reserve in Cooling was allegedly broken into on Monday night, with the investigation focused on a 16-foot-trailer taken from the location and later seen being towed away by a small hatchback.

The trailer, which did not have brake lights connected and was carrying a sit-on lawnmower and other large equipment, was spotted on CCTV being taken along Lipwell Hill in the direction of High Halstow shortly after 10.20pm.

In addition to the pressure washer, chainsaw and trailer, a large quantity of fuel was also taken during the burglary.
