A man who allegedly assaulted two pensioners is due to appear in court in this week.

Oliver Alexander Watts is charged with one count of actual bodily harm, one count of grievous bodily harm and possession of cannabis.

Officers arrested the 28-year-old from The Links in Chatham on New Year’s Eve.

It followed a report of assault involving an 82-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman at Nelson Terrace in Chatham.

Watts, from Chatham, will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday.
