Man's wallet stolen after attack in Clover Street, Chatham

A man was punched and kicked before having his wallet stolen in an attack in Clover Street, Chatham.

Police say the victim, in his 30s, was walking along Clover St, Chatham, at 12.15am on Wednesday, when he was approached by two men who asked for a cigarette.

It is said one of the men suddenly punched his face and when he fell to the ground he was kicked, before the men ran away along Clover Street. The victim has reported his black wallet, containing a quantity of cash, was stolen.

The attackers are described as black, 17 to 18 years old, wearing black and white baseball caps and possibly tracksuits.
