Appeal for witnesses to robbery in Rosebery Road, Gillingham

A man was reportedly mugged at knifepoint for his mobile phone by a masked robber.

Police were told it happened at 12.45am on July 19 in Rosebery Road at the junction with Burnt Oak Terrace in Gillingham.

The victim reported being approached by a man who then threatened him with a knife.

The suspect took his mobile phone before leaving the area.

Witnesses are now being asked to come forward and share what they know.

The offender is described as a slim black man, around 5ft 9ins.

He was believed to be wearing a black hooded top with black jogging bottoms.

He was also reported to be wearing a covering over his face.
