The Mos had to settle for a 3-3 draw on home ice after Michael Timms (pictured) equalised with five minutes remaining.

Timms bundled in Mos' third goal to clinch a vital point as they continue their persuit of current ENIHL Division 1 (South) leaders Wightlink Raiders.

Invicta can still take top spot if they win their games in hand over the Raiders.

Timms scored Invicta's opener from close range but they were living dangerously. One Chelmsford effort came off the bar and two were ruled out after the net became loose.

Despite riding their luck the hosts managed to go 2-0 up early in the second period through Andy Smith.

With 40 minutes gone Chelmsford pulled one back, with a striker from Kyle Jones, before tempers began to flare. Mos debut defenceman Chris Borges had the gloves off against Nathaneal Williams.

The Mos were reduced a man when Jack Tarczycki was penalised for boarding and in that time Chelmsford levelled the scores with a low shot from Blaho Novak.

A minute later and the Chieftains were ahead as Joe White was beaten again.

It took until the dying minutes for the Mos to pull level with Timms converting at close range again.
