Pensioner in 90s has wallet stolen in Asda, Chatham

An elderly man was robbed of his wallet in a supermarket as police appeal for help to locate two suspects.

The theft took place in Asda in Chatham on October 10 and officers have now released CCTV images.

The victim, who is in his 90s, reported a brown leather wallet containing cash had been stolen from his pocket while he was at the branch in Maidstone Road at about 2.30pm.

Police have released images of two men they would like to speak to they believe can assist the investigation.

PC Lewis Pharo, of North Kent CID, said: "We have been investigating this incident and are now able to issue images of two people who may be able to assist with our inquiries.

"Anyone who recognises either of those shown is urged to contact our appeal line."
