Costs soared after snow and protests over the bus station's design delayed the project by six months. A report reveals the futuristic terminal in Glove Lane is £435,000 over budget, while roadworks in The Brook and Union Street are up by £779,000. Traders have told us they are at their wits' end over long traffic delays and a senior councillor warned it could get worse.
