Police investigating an incident in Priestfields, Rochester after a van crashed into a house and two men fled the scene

Police are investigating an incident after a van crashed into the front of a house in Rochester this morning.

The incident took place in Priestfields just before 8am. The white van had left the road and crashed through the garden wall into the front of the property.

A police spokesman said: "The driver and another man who were in the van were seen running away from the scene and heading towards Borstal village."

Firefighters from Strood station attended the scene as the van was leaking fuel.

A spokesman for the station said: "We just made the scene safe and there were no injuries and no one was trapped."
