Police make arrest after house raid in Gillingham

A man has been arrested after police discovered a suspected cannabis factory at a house in Gillingham.

Officers executed a search warrant at the property in Haig Avenue this morning.

A spokesman for Kent Police said a small quantity of plants had been found at the address and investigations were continuing.

A 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

A police car and a forensic investigation van were parked outside the house for several hours and officers wearing protective white suits were seen going inside.
