Suspected drug-driver arrested after car spotted speeding on M2 near Strood

A suspected drug-driver was arrested after police clocked a Vauxhall Astra "doing 120mph" on a motorway.

Tactical Operations officers pulled over a 22-year-old, on the London-bound carriageway of the M2 near Strood, after a driver was spotted "performing dangerous manoeuvres" on Sunday, February 19.

It is alleged the motorist, from Luton in Bedfordshire, was also driving while disqualified and uninsured.

He was arrested for these offences, as well as on suspicion of dangerous driving, possession of class B drugs, and driving while under the influence of drugs.

He was later bailed to return to the police station on May 17.
