Appeal after teenage girl reportedly sexually assaulted on 132 bus in Gillingham

Officers have released images of a man they want to talk to in relation to an alleged sexual assault on a bus.

The victim, a teenage girl, got on the 132 Chatham to Hempstead Valley bus at Chatham bus station at around 5.50pm on May 21.

It was reported that a man got on the bus around Canterbury Street, Gillingham, and sat next to her.

He started to ask her questions before reportedly placing his hand on her leg.

The man continued in this manner until another passenger came to the aid of the victim.

It is believed the man left the bus near to the Bowater roundabout.

Investigating officer DC Kate Fox said: "We have been carrying out inquiries in relation to this report, to identify opportunities which could assist our investigation. CCTV footage has come to light and consequently we are now able to issue stills."
