Three teenagers charged after patrols spot suspected drug deal in Fort Pitt Street, Chatham

Three teenagers have been charged after police witnessed a suspected “drug deal” taking place.

Officers were in Fort Pitt Street in Chatham when they saw two people taking part in what appeared to be a suspicious activity.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested after he had been searched and officers found him in possession of what is believed to be a quantity of heroin.

A further search of a nearby property led police to find further drugs and a large quantity of money. Two men inside the property were also arrested.

Oluseye Oyenuga, 19, of Sheppey Road, Dagenham, Essex, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.

A 17-year-old boy from Essex was charged with the same offences and was additionally charged with assaulting an emergency worker.

Kynan Omondi, 18, of Barberry Close, Romford, Essex, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.

He has also been charged with refusing to provide a sample for a Class A drug test.

All three suspects appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court last Friday following the incident which is alleged to have taken place two days prior on January 10 at around 1pm.

Kynan Omondi and Oluseye Oyenuga were remanded in custody while the 17-year-old boy was bailed.

All three are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday February 9.
