Chatham: Third person charged with murder after body found in Shipwrights Avenue flats

A third person has been charged with murder following the death of a 29-year-old man in Chatham.

Daniel Nathan Fox, 34, and of no fixed address, has been charged in connection with the death of James O’Rourke whose body was found in flats in Shipwrights Avenue, Chatham on Monday.

He was arrested by officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate yesterday.

He appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court this morning and was remanded in custody.

Police were called to the flats at 7.36am on Monday. Mr O'Rourke , of no fixed address, was found dead in a stairwell.

Neil Taylor, 35 and Caroline Rushworth, 34, both of Shipwrights Avenue, Chatham were each charged on Wednesday with one count of murder.

All three are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday.
