Three arrested after suspected cannabis factory found in Gillingham

Three men have been arrested after officers discovered a suspected cannabis factory in Gillingham.

Kent Police were called at about 10.25pm on Tuesday to a report of suspicious activity in the area of a derelict building in Nelson Road.

Officers discovered what they believed to be the cultivation of cannabis and seized about 400 plants believed to be cannabis.

A 20-year-old man from Woolwich in London, a 28-year-old from Dartford and a 28-year-old from Abbey Wood in London have been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

All three men have been bailed until October 10.
