Three arrested in connection with 25 burglaries in Strood

Three men have been arrested in connection with 25 burglaries in Strood in the last two months.

Kent Police carried out early morning raids across Medway today, when the force launched Operation Castle.

The operation is a major three month-long sting aimed at reducing household burglaries and vehicle theft across the county.

The raids were part of six arrest and search warrants executed across the Towns.

Police are linking them with 25 burglaries across Strood from December 2012 onwards.

Two 21-year-old men from Strood and a 21-year-old man from Rochester were arrested on suspicion of burglary earlier today.

Locations across the rest of Kent will be targeted from this afternoon.
