UPDATE: Arrests in Chatham and Strood as part of drugs crackdown

Five men arrested as part of a drugs crackdown by yesterday have been charged with drug supply offences.

The arrests were made after early morning warrants were executed in Strood and Chatham. Simultaneous warrants took place in Newcastle, Skegness and Wellingborough.

Ben Burniston, 21, of Prospect Row, Chatham and Gurinder Fermah, 32, of St Nicholas Gardens, Strood were each charged with conspiracy to supply Class B drugs.

Fermah was additionally charged with three counts of supplying Class A drugs. Both were remanded in custody to appear at Dartford Magistrates Court today.

Jonathan Parker, 28, of Harrow Road, Skegness; Michael Brown, 53, from Shelley Road, Wellingborough and George Harle, 36, of Stable Lane, Beech Mews, Newcastle, have all been charged with conspiracy to supply Class B drugs and bailed to appear in court at a later date.
