'Woke movement and homosexuality are work of Satan' says Halling pastor Kevin Felix-Hollington

A controversial village pastor has described the 'woke movement', homosexuality and transexuality as evidence of Satan's influence.

Pastor Kevin Felix-Hollington fell under the spotlight last month when residents reacted angrily to a poster outside Halling Baptist Church, which stated "We don’t celebrate Pride, we preach Christ crucified".

The message prompted outrage and police this week confirmed they were working to establish if action is required, after the poster was reported as offensive.
With plans for a Halling Pride parade also mooted this week, residents have also raised concerns over sermons from Pastor Kevin which have been posted on YouTube.

In one, published by Ryarsh Baptist Church on its YouTube channel, Pastor Kevin references the Gospel of John in The Bible, adding: "Satan's anti-God, Satan's anti-law. Satan's anti-social influence is working today underground.

"We see this and we see its influence revealed in atheism, materialism, relativism, totalitarianism, most recently we've heard of the woke movement - wokeism.

"It's all working underground. It is powerful and it is at work right now. We're seeing its effect in the sexual revolution - homosexuality or transexualism - oh but don't dare talk against any of that."

And he goes on to add that when Christ returns "those who died in their sin or were in their sin," will be "forever in hell."

Halling mum Liz Body said she was shocked by the video, which was also posted on Facebook by Ryarsh Baptist Church.

She said: "I was in total shock when I saw the medieval extremist style sermon from Pastor Kevin Felix Hollington displayed on Facebook. He preaches that when Jesus Christ returns, the LGBT community will be sent to hell for all eternity for their sins.

"As a lesbian mum, I'm concerned that my children and the future generation will grow up in the same village where these bigoted views and opinions are freely preached.

"If it was a matter of racism or sexism I’m sure quite rightly it wouldn’t have been allowed to be broadcast across social media or on a sign outside their church."

The inclusion of "woke-ism" in Pastor Kevin's list of Satanic forces at play in society, has also raised eyebrows among the community.

Having begun life as an adjective meaning 'alert to racial prejudice and discrimination', the term 'woke' later came to encompass a broader awareness of issues surround social inequality, but has since been adopted as an insult for those opposed to liberal thought.

All of which means 'being woke' could land you in hot water at a far right rally - but it's not until now that we've learnt it could land you in hell.

Kevin Felix-Hollington has been approached for further comment.

Kent Police say the video has not been reported to them.
