Woman in hospital after a medical episode on a bus in Wigmore Road

A woman is in hospital after suffering a medical episode on a bus.

Paramedics were called out the double-decker bus in Wigmore Road, Wigmore, after a passenger sounded the alarm when an elderly woman was unresponsive.

When SECAmb arrived they checked the woman, thought to be in her 70s, over for injuries. Although conscious she was not responding properly and was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment.

They were called out to the bus, believed to be the 132 from Hempstead, at around 11.40am today.

Crews left the road at 12.10pm.
